Functional Capacity Evaluation
A comprehensive evaluation of a client’s physical and functional abilities including tolerance for sitting, standing and walking, ability to lift and carry weight, tolerance for reaching and crouching, and a client’s tolerance to work.
An FCE can be conducted over a one-day period or over two days and can be geared to a specific job or to general abilities.
Future Cost of Care & Loss of Valuable Services Assessments
A comprehensive assessment, data analysis, and research based upon published standards of practice, which provides an organized, concise plan for current and future needs with associated cost for individuals who have experienced catastrophic injury or have chronic health care needs.
Instrumental Activities of Daily Living
With the understanding of the physical abilities needed to perform instrumental activities of daily living including cooking, cleaning, laundry, home & property maintenance as examples, the client’s capacity to complete such tasks is assessed for level of independence and/or the need for home assistance in the form of replacement services and/or rehabilitative equipment as appropriate.
Physiotherapy Consultation
An assessment from a registered physiotherapist to identify any specific barriers to an individual’s health and well-being. The therapist will then make the appropriate recommendations to support the individual in achieving what they want to do, need to do, or are expected to do at home or at work.
